Steady Harbor

Terms of service

Last updated: October 22, 2026

These terms describe Steady Harbor's website services and the use of this website. Each project is also covered by a written project agreement, which you accept before any work or payment. If the two differ, the written project agreement applies to that project. Please read these terms with our Privacy policy.

1. Requests are not purchases

Sending a website request or a care question on this website does not buy anything and does not commit you or us to a project. We reply by email. Nothing on this website takes payment for website setup or care.

2. Website setup: $1,500 one time

Setup covers one informational website for a local service business. It includes:

  • One informational website of up to five pages for a local service business
  • Layouts that work on desktop and on phones
  • One basic inquiry form, or a link to the booking service you already use
  • Organizing and light editing of text you provide and approve
  • Basic page titles and descriptions for each page
  • Two consolidated rounds of revisions
  • Checks of key pages, links, phone layout and form delivery before handover
  • A written handover of what was built and how to reach it

Payment is in two parts: $750 when you accept the written scope; $750 after you approve the finished website, before handover or publication.

3. Optional care: $99/month per website

Care is optional and is not needed to get a website. It includes:

  • Up to two small content-update requests a month, capped at 60 minutes total
  • A monthly check of the agreed key pages, links and inquiry form
  • A short written summary each month
  • Support by email
  • Coordination with the hosting service you agreed on

Care is optional and month to month, priced per website. Unused time does not roll over. You can cancel before the next billing period; how we hand things over is agreed in writing.

4. What is not included

  • Guaranteed leads, sales or search rankings
  • A fixed or guaranteed turnaround time
  • Unlimited edits, 24/7 or emergency coverage
  • Ongoing monitoring, or any security or backup guarantee
  • Writing customer reviews, results or other facts about your business

New pages beyond five, redesigns, custom development, online shops and integrations need a separate written quote.

5. Separate costs

Hosting subscriptions, domain names, paid business email and outside tools are separate costs you pay directly. We agree on them in writing before you receive a quote.

6. Written project agreement

Before work starts, we agree in writing on the pages and content, the accounts and access you provide, who owns the domain, hosting accounts and content, what the handover includes, and any limits of the chosen hosting platform. Some platforms don't allow a website to be moved elsewhere; we only promise a transfer where the platform supports it, and we say so in the agreement.

7. Your content and responsibilities

  • Provide text, images and logos that you own or have the right to use, and approve the final text.
  • Make sure the facts on your website, such as services, areas and credentials, are accurate. We don't invent customer reviews, results or business facts.
  • Give access to accounts only through the method agreed in writing. Don't send passwords through this website's forms.

8. Communication

All communication happens by email and written messages. We don't offer phone calls or meetings, and we don't promise response times or emergency help.

9. Acceptable use of this website

Don't use this website's forms to send unlawful, abusive or misleading content, or to try to get around its limits or access controls.

10. Legacy listing-review accounts

The earlier listing-review service and its subscriptions are no longer sold. If you still hold one, you can view, export and delete your saved batches and manage or cancel your subscription in the legacy account area. It renews monthly through Stripe, via Foundable, until you cancel it there.

11. Limits of responsibility

We work carefully and check key pages before handover, but we can't promise that a website will bring business or that outside services, such as hosting or booking tools, will always work. Nothing here excludes responsibility that the law does not allow to be excluded, or limits rights you have under consumer laws that apply to you.

12. Changes and contact

If we change these terms or prices, we'll update this page. A change doesn't alter a written project agreement you already accepted. For questions, use the Support page; for privacy questions, use the privacy request form.
